Penfolds’ Shiraz lineup is
impressive. Leading off is the 2004 Shiraz “Kalimna Bin 28”.
Purple colored, it has an attractive nose of smoke, grilled
meat, and blueberry. Medium to full-bodied, it is a
straightforward Shiraz with loads of flavor, good balance, and a
moderately long finish. It is a very good value.
Penfolds, arguably Australia’s most famous winery, continues to
perform at a high level under the leadership of Head Winemaker,
Peter Gago.
